How long will roads used for the event be closed?
Please visit our Road closure information page for full details of which roads will be affected over the three days of RideLondon and for how long.
Please note that vehicles will not be able to cross or drive on the event routes while the road closures are in place, though local access will be maintained for as long as possible. Pedestrian access will still be possible at designated crossings during the events, where marshals will ensure you can cross the road safely.
The road closures will have a wider impact than the immediate RideLondon routes and to avoid disruption drivers are advised, wherever possible, to avoid areas near the event routes in central, east and north-east London, and in the affected parts of Essex on Sunday 29 May and to allow more time for their journeys.
Tube and rail, walking and cycling will be the best ways to get around London and enjoy the day. Buses around the events may be cancelled, delayed, on diversion or will finish early due to the road closures. Full information will be available prior to the events on the TfL website and the Essex Highways website.
Leaflets with details, including maps, of areas affected by road closures and parking suspensions are distributed to every household and business on and near the routes in the weeks prior to the event weekend.
