Ford RideLondon FreeCycle is the ultimate ride for cyclists of all ages, abilities and backgrounds. Set on a traffic-free route, the event is a unique opportunity to explore central London by bike – and it's completely free to take part! It will return for 2024 on Sunday 26 May.
The seven-mile route will take you on a journey through some of London’s most famous locations, from St Paul’s Cathedral and Somerset House to world-famous Buckingham Palace and The Mall. You can do as many loops as you like, and you'll have the chance to hop on and off at various places, should you wish.
As well as enjoying a great day of cycling, you'll be able to take a break from your bike and try free fun activities for all the family along the route. The event includes two Festival Zones at Aldwych and St Paul’s along with the RideLondon HUB at Trafalgar Square, where riders can stop for mechanical help, food and drink and enjoy activities such as music, games and face painting – we'll let you know what's on and where via regular newsletters as the big day approaches!
Fun, free and fit for all the family, our Ford RideLondon FreeCycle Festival Zones are the perfect places to stop off to relax, refresh and enjoy a wealth of activities and entertainment! Our 2024 route features two Festival Zones at St Paul's Churchyard and Aldwych alongside the RideLondon HUB (Human Urban Bicycle) at Trafalgar Square
Don't have your own bike? Don't worry – you can still take part in Ford RideLondon FreeCycle with a Santander Cycle! There are more than 12,000 Santander Cycles at around 800 docking stations across London, so you'll be able to pick up a bike and get riding with ease. To locate your nearest docking station,
If you're taking part in Ford RideLondon FreeCycle and live in one of the 32 London boroughs, why not join a free Led Ride to safely guide you to and from the event?
The Led Rides are supported by Ford’s Park the Car campaign, which encourages drivers to leave their cars at home for short journeys and cycle instead. Riders interested in joining a Led Ride will need to register in advance.
