The emergency services take absolute priority over the event. In the event of an emergency – whether it’s event-related or not – the emergency services can access or cross the route at any point, travel along the route (in either direction) or locate on the route. Representatives of the emergency services are also located in the Event Control Room which is in radio contact with marshals along the entire length of the route. Ford RideLondon has extensive medical provision planned along the entire length of the route which is sourced through specialist private medical companies (not through the local ambulance service resources).
