How are people informed about the events and who can I contact if I have further questions about my local area?
The organisers London Marathon Events and TfL are working closely with the London boroughs, Essex County Council, Essex districts and boroughs, as well as the emergency services to ensure Ford RideLondon can be delivered safely and successfully, while ensuring that disruption is minimised for local residents and businesses as much as possible.
The routes for the events were confirmed after an extensive review with key stakeholders. We will continue to work closely with our partners up to and during the events to ensure they are delivered safely for participants, spectators, residents and communities.
Please contact our Customer Services Team prior to the event if you have a specific access enquiry you’d like to discuss further.
London Marathon Events is delivering an extensive community engagement programme with the support of TfL, the London boroughs on the routes and Essex County Council to help residents and businesses along the routes plan ahead.
This will include pre-awareness campaign posters on the transport network, dedicated event awareness advertising, a series of customer information emails and leaflet drops prior to the event to around one million residents and businesses along the routes and areas around the routes.
Information on travel disruption and advice will be available on the TfL website and the Essex Highways website in the run-up to the event. To avoid delays over the event weekend, all drivers are advised to avoid areas near the event routes.
