About the RideLondon-Essex 60

Entries for the RideLondon-Essex 60 closed at 16:00 on Wednesday 4 May 2022. If you missed out on a place in the event, fear not – there's still time to enter RideLondon FreeCycle!

If you're an amateur rider who is younger or newer to the sport, the RideLondon-Essex 60 could be the event for you. This unique 60-mile cycle will see participants pedal past impressive London landmarks and through picturesque rural Essex this May – all on traffic-free roads.

  • Date: Sunday 29 May 2022
  • Start: Victoria Embankment, from 06:00 
  • Finish: Tower Bridge, from 10:00
  • Route: a stunning course that sets off from central London and heads out into Essex countryside before returning to central London for the finish

The RideLondon-Essex 60 route

Like the 100-mile ride, the RideLondon-Essex 60 will start in central London on Victoria Embankment before coursing through the historic Epping Forest to reach Essex. Riders will then head towards Ongar before turning round and re-tracing their wheel treads back into central London for a mighty finale at Tower Bridge.
