The perfect event for those looking for their first mass participation bike ride, the RideLondon-Essex 30 on Sunday 29 May is set to be the ultimate celebration of cycling. This special 30-mile ride on traffic-free roads passes through central London up to Essex and is ideal for people of all riding abilities.

  • Date: Sunday 29 May 2022
  • Start: Victoria Embankment, from 06:00 
  • Finish: Tower Bridge, from 10:00
  • Route: an accessible, achievable course that sets off from central London, heads up to the Essex border and scoots back to central London for the finish

Please note that you must be aged 16 or over to take part in the RideLondon-Essex 30. If you're 16 or 17, you must ride with an adult aged 18 or over.

The RideLondon-Essex 30 route

The RideLondon-Essex 30 is a great fit for those who are new to cycling and looking to conquer their first entry-level challenge.

Like both the 100-mile and 60-mile rides, the RideLondon-Essex 30 will set off from Victoria Embankment in central London before heading north-east. Riders will cruise their way up to Woodford, close to the Essex border, where they’ll then turn around for the return to central London and a spectacular finish at Tower Bridge.
